American actor Alexandra Hetherington Breckenridge. Her acting career began with supporting roles in the teen-oriented films Big Fat Liar (2002, 2006) and She's the Man (2006). In the following years, she played the role of reporter Willa McPherson on the FX series Dirt. Also, she played an important role in the FX's short-lived drama The Ex List. She played the role of a young Moira O'Hara in the first season of FX's American Horror Story, and played Kaylee in the season's third. She played Jessie Anderson in the AMC series The Walking Dead and Sophie in the NBC series This Is Us. She also voices a variety of characters from Family Guy's animated comedy. She is currently the voice of Melinda "Mel" Monroe, a character on Netflix's series Virgin River. Breckenridge was raised in Darien in Connecticut. She moved to California with her mother when she was of 10. The family went through a few moves before finally settling in Mill Valley. Breckenridge began to take an interest in acting, singing, and photography when she was 13. When she turned 15, she moved with her mother back to Los Angeles to pursue her acting career
