Antonina Shevchenko
Antonina Shevchenko, a Kyrgyzstani Muay-Thai MMA fighter from Peru and a mixed martial arts athlete who is a part of in the UFC for the Flyweight Division, is a Kyrgyzstani. She is the younger sister of former UFC Flyweight champ as well as the fellow UFC competitor Valentina. Antonina Shevchenko began her professional journey as an Muay Thai kickboxer. She debuted in 2003 during the IFMA World Championship Tournament. Shevchenko was the winner at the event and beat Suzane Milliner with a unanimous verdict. Antonina continued to win and won a silver medal in 2007, a bronze award in 2008, a gold medal in 2011 and the year-end 2016 IFMA Amateur Muay Thai World Champion. Antonia's professional debut came in 2003. In 2012 she won the WKC K-1 Light Welterweight World Championship In 2016, she won the Lion Fight Lightweight Championship and in 2016, she won the WMC World Championships. Antonina's last fight was against Isa Tiedblad Keskikangas, who was fighting at the Phoenix Fighting Championship. The fight was won unanimously. Antonina Schevchenko set professional MMA records in 2002 when she fought Anara Bazanova in the KFK Cup of Kyrgystan. She was victorious in the second round TKO after which she won 2 additional fights at WXF X-Impact World Championships to get a 3-0 record. Shevchenko was absent from MMA to concentrate on her kickboxing and came back with Anissa Haddaoui in Phoenix FC 3 in 2017. Shevchenko won Anissa Haddaoui with an unanimous decision. She later defeated Valerie Domergue, at Phoenix FC 4, in an unanimous vote. She quit the club in 2018 and joined Dana White's Contender Series in 2018. Shevchenko battled Jaimelene Nievera on Dana White Tuesday Night Contender Series 11. Antonina utilized her fighting skills and striking skills to TKO Nievera in the clinch via knees to the body. In the aftermath of this victory, Antonina was offered a UFC contract. Antonina was given a UFC contract after her win. Shevchenko was defeated by Roxanne modafferi by split decision, after winning her first bout. Antonina returned to the ring after the defeat and beat Lucie Pudddilova on UFC on ESPN Covington-Lawler by rear-naked submissions in the 2nd round. This fight earned Antonina the Fight of the Night bonus. Shevchenko fell to Katlyn and Andrea Lee in three of her subsequent fights. She fought Ariane Lipski but she beat Ariane. Antonina was recently defeated by Casey O'Neill via TKO at UFC Fight Night Santos -Walker.
